Johnson City Gazebo Beautification Park Project

Veterans Memorial Park, corner of Main Street and Arch Street

Located at the corner of Main Street and Arch Street, the Veterans Memorial Park is a Memorial dedicated to the brave men and women of Johnson City who fought in the Vietnam and Korean Wars.

The Village of Johnson City would like to improve the aesthetics of this park. With the support of the Village Board, Chairman of the Project, Trustee Rick Balles has set up a committee to work on improving the Veterans Memorial Park with a target completion date in summer of 2006. This beautification project is to show our community “spirit and pride” and to let our deceased Veterans of all the branches of the military know how much we care and appreciate what they have done for our community and our country. Using donated funds, planned improvements to the park include the installation of a lighted gazebo with seating, new park benches, and new decorative fencing.

The committee welcomes gifts of any size. In addition, anyone donating $100.00 or more will have their loved one's name(s) inscribed on a plaque that will be installed inside the Gazebo structure.
